Dear Kiri
I just wanted to send a quick email to say thank you for your help with regards to purchasing a deluxe treeless saddle. I received it this morning which is very impressive and I am really pleased with it. I really like the brown and the girth is the right size and very soft! My horse is most impressed.
Thanks again, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to any of my horsey friends, its an excellent saddle and excellent customer service.
Kind regards
Sabrina

Hi Birgit,
WOW !! I can't believe how comfortable the saddle is now! It's a combination of the new (proper Torsion) pad and the seat saver!
I gave one of my pupils a lesson in the Torsion today and she couldn't believe how comfortable it was and she really noticed the difference in the opening of her hips. She looked fantastic! Her horse went very differently in it too, doing walk to canter transitions which she normally NEVER does!!
Peggy, the lady who was going to buy a Torsion before Christmas is now back to wanting one after my pupil ranted on about how comfortable it was and how well her horse went it in so I expect I'll be in touch to buy another one off you soon!!
I'll send the seat shaper back to you because I really can't see the difference and I'm quite happy with the seat saver now!
Thanks for all your help Birgit,
Lesley

“Am really pleased with the close contact saddle - I do prefer not having so much between my leg and him. He seems more than happy with it…… Anyway thank you both again for all your help and enthusiasm” Ros Jones (Bapsford & Magnus) and their Torsion Close Contact.

Thought I'd share this with any of you who are looking for a supplier of Torsion saddles.
I can highly recommend a lady by the name of BIRGIT Michaux who is the most helpful woman I've ever spoken to with regards to the Torsion!
If you're looking for some advice and/or thinking about investing in a Torsion, give Birgit a call on 08450 725 765 or e-mail her on sales@torsionsaddles.co.uk
My horse is very happy with her new saddle, she is moving much better and the bad tempered biting and nipping which accompanied a tacking up session has all but stopped now! I personally would recommend a 'seat shaper' with the saddle though as I found the standard flat seat somewhat uncomfortable. My horse didn't like the leather girth which you can buy from Torsion and I opted for a softed Gel filled girth for my sensitive mare.Give your horse the best present you could imagine this christmas and buy him or her a Torsion!
(and NO, i don't work for Birgit!! I was just so impressed with the help she gave me!).

Dear Birgit
Have written the following notes for you – feel free to do as you please with them.
Bought my Deluxe Nubuk Black 17” saddle in October 2005
Webster 15h black cob was 22 and I was 61
I had had Webster for over 16 years and had ridden him in the same saddle for all those years.  I must admit I was concerned that I was doing the right thing buying a treeless saddle but need not have worried – it fitted us both perfectly and I loved it from day 1.
Florence my 15h Welsh D x Andalusian started her training last year when she was 3 and this year I began to ride her out on hacks.  She is quite different to Webster being very wide and having very little wither.   My treeless saddle sat too far up onto her shoulders and I was disappointed when thought I wouldn’t be able to use it for her.  However after a few calls to Birgit and one or two photos later we decided she needed a shaped girth - Webster is ok with a normal dressage girth.  Bingo - problem solved.

Now the horses are partly stabled for the winter I feel they need to go out most days so my husband has started to help me hack them out.
Unfortunately I drew the short straw and get to use an ordinary saddle again.
Hope this will be of help to you.
Kind regards
Barbara Day

Hi there,
I just had to e mail to say I LOVE MY TORSION SADDLE.
Jaffa (my 14.1hh dun welsh x) used to turn away every time I went towards him with his saddle & it used to make me feel so guilty. I called the saddle fitter out who said it needed re-flocked but this still didn't seem to make any difference.
I decided to do a bit of research on treeless saddles & after looking at all the options, thought the Torsion seemed to be what I was looking for & how fabulous that you could test drive it too??? Where else do you get to try before you buy??
After chatting to a friend about it she mentioned that a tack shop in the local area sold Torsions & I should go along for a look. I went to see Kay Curn who runs The Trading Post in Bedlington, Northumberland. And what a star she was! She gave me so much info & loads of advice about testing a Torsion so the following week, credit card in hand, I went back to pick up the saddle for the weekend.
The weather was atrocious but that wasn't stopping me!! After getting used to the idea that it didn't have to sit half way up his neck, I climbed on board & off we went. I loved it & Jaffa seemed more than happy with it but I did feel like it was slightly too big for us both. I wasn't fazed by this because although I knew Kay only stocked a 17" as a test model, there was always the option of testing it from your web site.
On returning the saddle to Kay I explained my plight, I told her that I definitely wanted one but I'd feel better about buying one if I could try the smaller size first. I told her I was going to contact you direct about trying a smaller size. To my surprise Kay told me she had her own 16" Torsion & I was welcome to take that away & try it! How nice was that??
After riding in Kay's saddle, I knew the 16" was perfect for us. So, after all the test driving, I just wanted to let you know that I am now the proud owner of a Torsion saddle!! Not only that but I have converted 2 of my friends into going treeless & Kay helped them both out in the same way. She is a credit to Torsion!
I am now of course, the biggest Torsion bore in the whole world! Everyone should try one & buy one! Everyone we meet out riding asks us about them so we're thinking of getting some 'We ride Treeless with Torsion' t-shirts printed!! I should probably become a rep!!
I just wish people would dare to try something new & not be put off by the fact that it doesn't look like a 'conventional' saddle! If your horse is happy then surely that's all that matters. When I walk into the stable with my Torsion & Jaffa walks towards me, I know it was the best decision I ever made!!
Thanks again to Torsion & Kay Curn

Hi

Just to confirm that after trying all your suggestions, I did find that the
straight girth slid forward slightly whilst on a ride. I tried putting the
saddle further back, which did give Gypsy more freedom from the shoulder,
she was really on her toes hacking out and felt great working in the field
on our return.

I think that the curved girth will suit her better and maybe a 24inch rather than my first choice of a 22 inch. With placing the saddle further back, more girth was used up on her belly.

Could you please post it to my works address and mark it for Mr Trevor XX (The address has been taken away for privacy reasons). Please feel free to use any of our photos or correspondence to promote your products, they are so much more comfortable for the horse and I'm sure they would help so many that suffer through badly fitting tack and also riders who suffer with pain whilst riding.
With regards

Julie

“Hi,
To date she has had 4 saddles that have been ‘made to measure’ but none have been 100% compatible with her shape. We have all been much happier since we bought the Torsion Deluxe, the movement seems a lot less restrictive and both myself and my Daughter, feel secure in the saddle and closer to the horse.” Julie and Gemma Dickenson (Gypsy)

Hi
I wondered if you had considered having a page on your website dedicated to good stories? Some of us could do with encouragement! I regularly get looked at snootily because I jump in my Torsion deluxe - recently went on a cross country training session where about 4 people said “you won’t be able to jump with THAT”. My horse proceeded to fly over everything and did better than any of the other horses there which all refused at least once.

“It's a fantastic saddle and Cuillin goes really well in it.”

Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to say thank you for my endurance saddle. I happened to place an order for the endurance saddle when there were none in stock and the company in Italy was about to shut for the month of August. I finally received the saddle on the 28th September in time to test it before going away for a 4 day riding holiday in Norfolk where the rides last 3 hours plus each day.
When I tested the saddle out as she had been in a treed saddle for about 3 months previously i felt i was sitting about 20ft above her back. Felt quite strange. Immediately she was free through her shoulders again and felt quite exuberant in her movement.
I had been on the holiday before in different saddles including a torsion G.P. and found that my horses skin would welt and various lumps and bumps would appear. On this occasion with the endurance saddle no such thing happened.
The wait has been well worth it. I am very pleased with the saddle.
With kind regards
Miss Andrea Foreman.
